I know today will be a busy day for many of you. It’s going to be a busy day for me as well.
But before we get lost in opening gifts, exchanging celebratory hugs, and sending off those sparkly group text messages, can we just slip away for a few moments of quiet…just the two of us?
Like so many moments in life, Mother’s Day can be bittersweet.
For some women, it is a blissful day of pampering from her family. For another, it can be a painful reminder of an indescribable loss. And for another, it’s a day where their seemingly deferred dreams come crashing head first into their present realities.
Yes, Mother’s Day can be all these things and so much.
The truth is life doesn’t always come wrapped in a pretty package of perfect.
Even the woman you admire most for having it all together will face her share of bruises and battles throughout her life’s journey.
But the one thing that can sustain us ALL, not only on days like today, but every single day, is the infallible love of God.
His love is a trusting helpmate to the single mom.
His love is a source of strength to the overwhelmed married mom.
His love is a gentle companion to the grieving child who’ve lost her mom.
His love is an encourager to the woman patiently waiting on his promise to someday be a mom.
His love is all we need and so much more!
So this Mother’s Day, I pray your heart will find peace, joy and comfort in knowing you are deeply loved.
Sweet sister, I pray that love will be waiting for you by the time you finish reading this message and step back into your reality.
May it be a reassuring whisper when the noise of today threatens to consume you.
May His love reach you exactly where you are today. And may you always remember His love is already waiting for you as you embrace your tomorrows.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Roxanne, thank you for this special message. This morning I found myself crying and talking to God because my heart still hurts. But, he reminded me of Hannah. I have to agree with His promises because God does not lie. I know and trust that when it is in his plan and timing, he will bless me with a beautiful, healthy baby.
For the women that have lost a child or experienced multiple miscarriages, Know God can and will heal you. He wipes our tears and asks us to remain faithful. Trust in him.

What a beautiful message Tanisha! And don’t you just love when God comes into the middle of where we are and meets us with an on time word!
I am praying for you, and for all the women who know a pain similar to yours.
I pray that someday soon you will be able look into the eyes of a sweet baby boy or girl and say you are the answer to my prayer.
The same God that did it for Hannah (who by the way had 5 kids ??????????) is more than capable of blessing you beyond measure!
And I volunteer to babysit! ?
