“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9
Push! Push!
You’re right there!
You’re doing great. Just keep pushing!
After being pregnant for what felt like an eternity it was finally time for my new little one to make his grand entrance to the world.
Over and over the nurses, doctor and my husband kept telling me to push. From their angle they saw how close I was to giving birth.
They saw the complete picture, while all I could do was take them at their word.
Tired, drugged up, (thank God for whoever created the epidural!) and completely worn out from the preceding twelve hours, I kept praying for it all to be over.
In those final minutes I wanted to tell everyone in the room to shut up! I wanted them to stop telling me how close I was because it felt like I wasn’t making any progress.
You may not have experienced the highs and lows of giving birth but you’ve probably felt the growing pains of waiting for your hard work to pay off.
You’re probably all too familiar with the struggle of taking God at His Word but not yet seeing the manifestation of His promise.
Galatians 6:9 encourages us to “...not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Whether you’re in the early stages of your labor or just about to cross the finish line, make the commitment to keep doing what’s good in the eyes of the Lord.
Yes, some moments will be downright painful. Some moments you’ll see no results. But don’t even think about giving up.
Trust God’s vision for your future. He directs things perfectly from His vantage point. He knows the end from the beginning and it always ends with your victory.
So my dear friend, push!
You’re right there!
You’re doing great. Just keep pushing!
Today’s Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for your simple reminder to keep pushing. Things may be painful right now, but I know you’ve already seen the beautiful ending to this chapter. I place all my trust in Your Word. Give me the strength and the grace I’ll need to not give up. Thank you for the blessings coming my way. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen!
